John Fell, Ph.D.

John Fell is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Manchester, UK. He has held previous positions as Visiting Scientist, University of Groningen, The Netherlands and Visiting Senior Lecturer, National University of Singapore. His research interests include the Pharmaceutics of solid dosage forms, particularly in regard to the compaction process, film coating and surface energetics and the in vivo investigation of the behaviour of solid dosage forms. This latter interest has lead to research in the targeting of dosage forms to specific regions of the gastro-intestinal tract, especially the stomach and colon. He has published over 100 papers in these areas of Pharmaceutics and contributed papers at national and international meetings.
